Poison in Your Words

Don't throw your words around like they are as harmless as sound.

What you say may not have much meaning to you when you decide to spew out your thoughts like an aimless cloud of poison, destroying every being in its path, you better be ready for the consequences.

Measure out what you are about to say, especially if it involves people who are supposed to be dependent on you in their lives. You will gradually start to lose them. One by one, as you break small shards of their hearts, they will start to distance themselves from you like it's the normal primal instincts to run away from danger.

Whatever you say, those words will keep ringing in the receivers’ ears for a long time, gnawing at what is left of their sanity.

It will hurt far more than you could fathom if they find out you actually felt that way for so long without saying a word. Actions they have taken in the past should not be shameful to them, especially if they never felt them to be.

It is never too late to learn the art of conversation. A mere discussion should never turn to a battlefield, cannons being shot in every direction. Your defense and attack mechanisms should not be armed at all times when people are trying to have a decent conversation with you. You are not their enemy and they are not yours.

Once you accept the fact that you have practically severed the line connecting your heart to theirs, there’s no going back. There may be forgiveness but a broken heart can’t be stitched back together seamlessly with a few nice words.

You are not always right.

People are not trying to humiliate you.

They are not plotting to hurt you either.

Live your life happily, spread emotions of love instead of painful bee stings.

Use your words wisely. You never know when it will be your last chance to genuinely say something nice.

Painful words age the soul faster than it’s supposed to, while loving words warm the heart and covers a person in a beautiful glow.

Love one another.

Until next time

Maha
